Fytofoam® soil amendment products are used for turf, nursery, and agricultural soils, producing higher yields and shorter production time, while saving water, fertilizer and power. Its great water-holding ability and air permeability ensures a gradual release of the nutrients and water absorbed, resulting in improved germination and encouraging faster and finer rooting. It creates full, even growth, improving the self-restoring capabilities of turf and plants.

The Product
Fytofoam® , is an aminoplast resin which is produced with a hardener under pressure. This results in a light but very stable, spongy substance, with a dry matter content varying from 22 to 33 kg/m3 and a water absorption of 60%. Further important features of the resin are that it is absolutely harmless to the environment and entirely biodegradable. This makes Fytofoam® highly suitable for improving the soil structure where sports fields such as football and soccer fields, and golf courses are to be installed or renovated.

Fytofoam® has been developed by the research department of Aqua Resins Technologies BV.

Fytofoam® can be applied on site by means of a specially developed mobile foaming machine. The product is also available in flakes, supplied in bags. Both foam and flakes can be mixed into the upper layer of the soil.

Fytofoam® can be applied during construction of new turf surfaces achieving the ideal growing environment, or during renovation of existing turf via foam injection.

History
Fytofoam® has been on the market since 1989. It has been extensively and successfully used on golf courses and sports fields in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Benelux, United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa. There are also companies in Australia, United States, Norway and South Africa, and projects completed in Saudi Arabia and Middle Eastern countries.

For our US customers, projects can be inspected in California and New Mexico.

Extensively Tested
Fytofoam® has been tested both internationally and in the United States. The results to date are very satisfactory. The tests carried out by the NOC/ INSF (the Netherlands) also included tests and trials by SDRI England, IGI Germany and University of New Mexico.
